Date: Mon, 27 Feb 1989 12:20:00 -0500 1996-020 City of Chattanooga ORDINANCE NO. 10386 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 1600 AND 1700 BLOCKS OF SOUTH SCENIC HIGHWAY, BEING ON THE SOUTHWEST AND NORTHEAST LINES OF SOUTH SCENIC HIGHWAY AT CRAVENS TERRACE, FROM TEMPORARY R-1 RESIDENTIAL, O-1 OFFICE ZONE, AND C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL AND C-2 CONVENIENCE COMMERCIAL ZONE. _______________________ SECTION 1. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is hereby amended so as to rezone: A tract of land located in the 1600 and 1700 blocks of South Scenic Highway, being on the southwest and northeast lines of South Scenic Highway at Cravens Terrace. Lot 1, Ruby Falls Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat book 44, page 99, ROHC, and four unplatted tracts; being the Lookout Mountain Caverns annexation area as described in Chattanooga City Ordinance No. 10339. All of said properties to be zoned C-2, with the exception of the following described tract, which is to be zoned R-1: part of an unplatted tract, being part of the property described as Tract 2 in deed book 4564, page 483, ROHC, also being part of Tax Map No. 155H-B-14.1; said part of tract begins at the intersection of the southwest line of South Scenic Highway with the northeast line of Cravens Terrace, thence northwest 1670.29 feet with Cravens Terrace to a point 5 feet southwest of the southeast corner of lot 1, Campbell Subdivision on Cravens Terrace, as shown by plat of record in plat book 45, page 235, ROHC, thence northeast 5 feet to the southeast corner of said lot 1, thence continuing northeast 149 feet with the southeast line of said lot, thence northwest 307.65 feet with the northeast line of said lot 1, and said line extended, to the northwest line of Section 5, Township 3, Range 4, West of the Basis Line, Ocoee District, thence northeast some 775.698 feet with said section line, thence southeast some 1413 feet to a point some 211.976 feet (if measured at a right angle) southwest of the southwest line of South Scenic Highway, thence northeast 211.976 feet perpendicular to South Scenic Highway to the southwest line of said street, thence southeast some 830.77 feet with South Scenic Highway to the northeast line of Cravens Terrace, the point of beginning. Tax Map No. 155H-B-14 and 14.1, 155H-C-1 and 2, and 155H-D-2. from Temporary R-1 Residential Zone, O-1 Office Zone, and C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to R-1 Residential Zone and C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone. SECTION 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as required by law.
